Ultimately, the best time is when your child feels their happiest and most energetic. This ensures we capture their true personality in every shot. What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can still create beautiful portraits! I have experience working in various weather conditions. A little rain or overcast skies can sometimes add a unique touch to your photos. However, if the conditions aren’t ideal, we have options. We can either reschedule the session or find an indoor location that fits your vision. I’ll keep you informed in the days leading up to the shoot. We will ensure that we have a plan in place to make the most of the situation. Your child’s portraits will still turn out stunning, no matter the weather!
Do you offer digital images or prints, and how does ordering work?
Yes, I offer both digital images and prints through The Portrait Commission. Your session includes a curated selection of finished digital portraits, along with print credit to use toward heirloom artwork. This can be applied to framed pieces, matted prints, albums, or a clamshell print box.
After your session, you’ll receive your portraits and have time to decide how you’d like to display them. The ordering process happens at home and is simple and flexible. You can take your time choosing the artwork that feels right for your space.
How far in advance should I book my session?
I recommend booking your session at least 4-6 weeks in advance. This gives you ample time to choose the perfect attire for your child. It also allows them to mentally prepare for the session. With a little extra time, we can ensure that everything goes smoothly. We will handle outfit planning. We will also incorporate any special details you’d like.
