There are many beautiful locations in Howard County, Maryland, for family, child, or senior photo sessions. I recently wrote a post featuring several of the wonderful places throughout the county. But I feel that several locations deserve their own spotlight post. So, this is the first of several posts featuring specific locations around Howard County. Let’s start with the Howard County Conservancy!

Howard County Conservancy

The Howard County Conservancy is a lovely property located in Woodstock, in the northwest part of Howard County. Its mission is to “educate children and adults about our natural world, preserve the land and its legacy for future generations, and model responsible stewardship of our environments”. Its venue features not only lovely paths, fields, and trails but also beautiful vistas of the Patapsco Valley and historic barns and outbuildings.

As a photographer, I find that the Conservancy offers a large variety of photo opportunities. From the lovely fields to the rustic barn and even the child’s play area, there are beautiful pictures waiting all around. Whether it is sunrise or sunset, there is always an opportunity to find the perfect picture. Oh, and did I say they allow pets? WIN!! I have had the privilege of photographing several clients at this beautiful venue, and I look forward to taking many more.
